Overview

You can choose to sell back a book after you are done reading it. We ONLY buy Chinese fiction novels and Chinese picture books in Simplified Chinese. Priority for buy-back is given to books bought from us due to limited shelf space. If unsure, please check with our book elves.

To proceed:

1. Email or WhatsApp us with a picture of the spine(s) of the book title(s) you will like to re-home.
2. Once we have confirm that we will foster the books for re-homing, we will send you a Foster Certification for the selected books.
3. Bring your books to the bookstore, along with a printed copy of your Foster Certification to initiate the re-home process.

To be considered for our re-homing program, your book(s) must be in good, readable condition with no missing/folded pages, free of markings and no extensive foxing.

**Shiawase Books reserve all rights to turn down buyback deals due to reasons such as excessive availability of item(s) in our warehouse, market demand, condition of the item and other reasonable purchasing factors.

Books identified as previously bought from Shiawase Books are eligible for additional discount vouchers. These vouchers can be use towards your next purchase.

• Sell back within 2 weeks (14 days ) 10% discount
• Sell back within 4-6 month 5% discount

To be eligible for the discount, we require a receipt as proof of purchase.

Send an email to hello@shiawasebooks.com or WhatsApp us at 8.6.4.6.6.9.8.7 with the following information:

• A clear picture of the book(s) showing its title
• Indicate which ones were bought from Shiawase Books

If you are looking to donate books, please contact us in the same way. Unfortunately due to space constraints, we might not be able to take in all of the used books out there. Our used book space can only prioritise books that have the highest possibility of getting re-homed based on our customers’ reading preferences. Thank you for understanding.
